1. Parties

This School Agreement ("Agreement") is made between Hong Kong CQ Center Co. Ltd. ("we", "us"), operating the Double R Amalgam program and the Double R CQ Stories Young Readers platform ("the Platform"), and the registered school ("the School") that accepts this Agreement by redeeming a school access code.

2. Authorised School Use

The School Admin may create teacher and student access only for currently enrolled students of the School. Access codes must not be shared outside the School. The School is responsible for distributing codes securely to students and parents.

3. Student Privacy and Parental Consent

The School confirms that it has obtained parent or guardian consent where required, or is relying on its own school policy. We process student data only to provide the learning service, progress reports, and support. The School is the data controller for student personal data it provides; Double R is the processor.

4. Minimal Data Collection

We collect only what is needed: student name or nickname, class, school, learning progress, and assessment results. No sensitive personal data is collected unless strictly necessary and consented to in writing.

5. No Ads, No Selling Data

We will not sell student data or use it for third-party advertising. No third-party advertisements are shown inside the student learning area of the Platform.

6. Data Retention

Student data is kept during the subscription period and for a limited period after termination, then deleted or anonymised. The School may request export or deletion of student data at any time, subject to applicable law.

7. Acceptable Use

The School agrees that users will not: reverse engineer the Platform; copy or redistribute content; share access codes outside the School; upload inappropriate material; or engage in bullying or harmful behaviour.

8. Intellectual Property

Hong Kong CQ Center Co. Ltd. owns all content, including the Double R English Integration Method, books, videos, illustrations, and software. The School receives a limited, non-transferable licence for internal educational use only during the subscription period.

9. Fees and Renewal

Fees are per student, class, or school package. Access codes expire as stated. Refunds are provided only where required by law. The School will be notified of any fee changes before renewal.

10. Safeguarding and Incidents

The School supervises students while using the Platform. Any safety, privacy, or safeguarding concern must be reported to us promptly. We will investigate and take appropriate action.

11. Service Availability

We aim for reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance and updates may occur. We will notify the School of planned maintenance where possible.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Our liability is limited to the fees paid by the School in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate for breach, non-payment, or with notice. On termination, access codes stop working and student data is handled in accordance with the data retention clause above.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
